The first Fast Dalek was build in an hour just before a competition.
It was named the next day, and actually did quite well. It was intended
as a replacement for Electra,
using motors and a controller, rather than servos.
The wheels are the same lego 30.4 rubber wheels I use for Dynamite
and the battery is a 145mAh Lithium Polymer. The weapn servo is
a Park HPF-X, about the fastest servo there is, the linkage to the
flippers is titanium, which is very stiff.
Luckily Fast Dalek didn't encounter a spinner, as it has virtually
no armour, and relies heavily on electrical tape.
